The appearance of infants’ first tooth varies significantly from child to child. Generally, the baby’s teeth will show up in pairs. Usually, the lower middle teeth are the ones that emerge first through the gums, followed by the upper front teeth. Some teeth can develop without giving any pain or discomfort. However, a baby may tend to become irritable and fussy a few weeks before the first tooth surface through the gums.
There are ways you can do to soothe your teething baby. Let your baby bite on teething ring to ease their discomfort from any pain. If you don’t have a teething ring, you can use a cold, wet flannel for the meantime. Other ways to soothe their gums is to offer them with cold, sugar-free beverages or rub their gums with your clean finger. There symptoms that are not linked to teething. If your baby has a runny nose, fever or diarrhea, don’t claim that it’s still part of their teething symptoms, particularly if the signs continue longer than 24 hours. Call your doctor immediately as these are indications of another illness.
